Progress as of August 27th 2013

I have been stitching a lot the past few days.

I do have some other non-stitchy things going on also.  My daughter Ashli is back at Bryant University Sept 2nd for her second year of  her four years to get her Bachelors Degree and then on to Med School and then 2 yrs for her Masters then 5 yrs for her  Psychology PHD Degree.  Hmmm, lets see thats 10 more years, Oh My Gosh!!!

My husband went to his Mom's to check on here pool and found a tiny snapper turtle in it.  He brought it to our house and my daughter and her boyfriend decided to adopt it until it was old enough to be released.  This snapper is so tiny!  My daughter knows alot about turtles since she owns two.  So they have a new addition for the time being and his name is Koopa.  Here is a pic of Koopa.
Well, I do need to show you a pic of a new visitor to my bird feeder!  Really do not want to see this visitor again.
Pedigree Falcon

Swooped right in to my birdfeeder to take a bird!  Luckily, all my birds had another day to eat at my feeders :)

Of course, I need to show a pic of my sweeties!!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Well, today was a hell day at work!  Deliveries were late so that made me late getting the mail to the road.  So did not get home till 5 tonight.  I do have an update on my masquerade from HAED.  There is a big sale over there for Bob's Birthday since he turned 53 so everything is 53% off!  I am going to check that out a little later.  Here is how much more I have stitched on Masquerade.

Happy Spring With Some Book Reads and Stitchy Udates!!

Well, spring has sprung around here and my flowers are blooming!  A week ago it was in the 90's thought summer came early!  Now it is in the 70's with rain to help all my plants since the dry heat last week.

I finished two books today, Ascension Day by John Matthews and Cannibal by Lois Jones.
Cannibal is a true story and not for the faint of heart, very graphic.  Ascension Day is a court suspense.
I rated them both 4 stars! Gripping and exciting!

OK now for the stitchy stuff...

I decided to restitch my two HAEDs.  I was stitching them over one with two threads and I found them too bulky and hard to stitch.  So I am restitching them over one with one thread and loving my stitching again. So that was why I stopped stitching on them.  I am showing the stitching on Masquerade with a photo of the difference of the stitching.  Lavender Moon will have to wait until I get more fabric.
Happy Stitching!

Over one using two

over one using one so much  better!

Stitching and Frogging Today!

When I sat down to stitch today I decided if I wanted the frog to leave I better rip out the 158 stitches I need to take out before I could do any stitching!  Well, the frog has moved on to a warmer climate since it is pretty cold here today!  The high today was 19 degrees!!  So on Fred I will stitch later tonight.  At the moment I picked up my HAED Lavender Moon.  Still doesn't look like much even though I have put in 173 stitches.  This is my first HAED so a big change from what I am used to.  Also working on 25 ct linen and I have never used it before.  So it is slow going at the moment!  Here is a pic of Lavender Moon and my progress so far.

I started in the left hand corner and as I said there is not much to show at the moment.  I have to say at the moment I am glad I have some other easier WIPs to work on, lol.  HAEDs are new to me but I like a challange, (Grin)  This is a gift to my daughter so I will finish it! Happy Stitching everyone!
