Ashley finished one year of Bryant University with awesome grades!  Rolling right into another year.  She is also writing for the Bryant newspaper.  Here is one of her articles
She is just loving the University!

I am now working on Snowfriend ornament by Dimensions Gold collection, hoping to be done for Christmas.  I am about half done now :)

Progress as of August 27th 2013

I have been stitching a lot the past few days.

I do have some other non-stitchy things going on also.  My daughter Ashli is back at Bryant University Sept 2nd for her second year of  her four years to get her Bachelors Degree and then on to Med School and then 2 yrs for her Masters then 5 yrs for her  Psychology PHD Degree.  Hmmm, lets see thats 10 more years, Oh My Gosh!!!

My husband went to his Mom's to check on here pool and found a tiny snapper turtle in it.  He brought it to our house and my daughter and her boyfriend decided to adopt it until it was old enough to be released.  This snapper is so tiny!  My daughter knows alot about turtles since she owns two.  So they have a new addition for the time being and his name is Koopa.  Here is a pic of Koopa.
Well, I do need to show you a pic of a new visitor to my bird feeder!  Really do not want to see this visitor again.
Pedigree Falcon

Swooped right in to my birdfeeder to take a bird!  Luckily, all my birds had another day to eat at my feeders :)

Of course, I need to show a pic of my sweeties!!!

Happy Tuesday!!

Well, today was a hell day at work!  Deliveries were late so that made me late getting the mail to the road.  So did not get home till 5 tonight.  I do have an update on my masquerade from HAED.  There is a big sale over there for Bob's Birthday since he turned 53 so everything is 53% off!  I am going to check that out a little later.  Here is how much more I have stitched on Masquerade.

WOW!!! The Summer is Passing By So Fast!!!

I cannot believe how fast the summer is going!  It feels like it was just yesterday we opened our pool!  We opened it Memorial Day weekend.  I have been stitching on Masquerade Storykeep, Lavender Moon and Gardens Like Quilts.  Really not a lot to show this week.  I do have a short video of my baby Robin trying to catch the birds I feed.  She does this off an on all day long.  She is so cute and never realizes these birds are on the other side of the sliding glass door, lol!! :)  I swear she has springs for legs :)
Determined to get these birds, lol

I Joined the Red White & Blue Sal!!!

I decided to join the Red White & Blue Sal!  I needed an excuse to start America!  It is from Stoney Creek's Book 92 Let Freedom Ring, which is an Oop.  I am stitching on 18 ct. blue and white hand dyed fabric.  Looks like blue sky with white clouds which is perfect for this design.  Here is a photo of it and my progress so far.  I have put in 251 stitches so far. I have started in the middle so I have stitched part of the feathers of the eagles head and part of the flag.

Happy Spring With Some Book Reads and Stitchy Udates!!

Well, spring has sprung around here and my flowers are blooming!  A week ago it was in the 90's thought summer came early!  Now it is in the 70's with rain to help all my plants since the dry heat last week.

I finished two books today, Ascension Day by John Matthews and Cannibal by Lois Jones.
Cannibal is a true story and not for the faint of heart, very graphic.  Ascension Day is a court suspense.
I rated them both 4 stars! Gripping and exciting!

OK now for the stitchy stuff...

I decided to restitch my two HAEDs.  I was stitching them over one with two threads and I found them too bulky and hard to stitch.  So I am restitching them over one with one thread and loving my stitching again. So that was why I stopped stitching on them.  I am showing the stitching on Masquerade with a photo of the difference of the stitching.  Lavender Moon will have to wait until I get more fabric.
Happy Stitching!

Very Busy Couple of Weeks for me!

Hi and Happy May to all of you!  I have not done much stitching lately.  I have been planting my perennials.  I planted 3 clematis, 2 purple and 1 blue.  I also planted a Sedo Autumn Joy and a Gaura Pink Fountain.  I also planted wildflowers for my hummers and butterflies.  I still have to get my Caladiums started. After my frog visit not once but twice this month I took a break.  Well, since I have no pictures of my stitching I do have to add a pic of my many kitties.  Happy stitching to all of you!

Happy Easter!!!

I want to wish all of you a very Happy Easter!  We will be having dinner here and I am serving Lasagna.  I know I am breaking the tradition, lol but we do not like ham and will not eat lamb.  We love Lasagna and I do not get time to make it that often.

As far as stitching I have stitched on Gardens Like Quilts and have finished page one and half done with page two.

I am enjoying this pattern and will continue with it and throw in Frederick this month.
Have a great Easter and Stitchy Hugs to all!

WOW Has It Really Been A Month???

Yeah it has been awhile!  Between working 6 days a week and trying to get my craft room done have not had much time to stitch.  What I have stitched on is Gardens Like Quilts, not a lot but will show my progress.  This pass month there has been snow and more snow.  Spring being here?  Not!  Has been in the 30's the pass few days of spring. The good thing is the snow is gone!  Hoping that's the end of it this year. Must say today we reached 45 degrees! I do have an update of my daughter's WIP  of Blue Eyes from KK.  She I think has more progress than me this month, lol. Here is my stitching update..........

More White On The Way!!

Yes, we are do for another snow storm this weekend!  They are saying up to 8 inches with this one.We will see!  I have a frog here today.  Guess the snow doesn't scare him, lol.  Trying to push him out the door at the moment!  Stitching on my Gardens like Quilts and just found I was two stitches off on the blue jay's foot so ripping the foot out right now.
My Cuddles just got home from getting neutured.  I am watching him closely and need to give him doses of morphine twice a day.  He does have a little congestion but the vet has assured me that it was from the traech he had while he was under.  Here is my poor baby....

Blizzard of 2013!!

WoW! Two feet of snow I woke up to this morning.  I have a couple of pics of all this snow.
My car is to the right which is buried

Everything is closed today so state can clean the roads. Thousands of people lost there power and it could take days for them to get it back.  I never lost my power so I was a lucky one during this blizzard.  Tonight we will be in the single digits overnight.  Warming to start on Monday so hope to get rid of some of this stuff, lol.

WoW!!! So much Snow!!!

I was able to deliver a little over half my route today!  Roads got very slippery and using a postal vehicle with no any wheel drive, was not able to deliver.  The post office is closed in Woonsocket tomorrow!  So I will be stitching tomorrow.  I have at least 8 inches here so far and they are saying we are getting 25 more inches.  The wind is crazy at 50 miles an hour so I might lose my internet.  I will try to keep in touch using my Fire.  Here is a pic of my deck.  It is blurry because of the wind and the snow is moving.
This is a nasty storm!  The pic is not the best but it shows  the wind and snow.
Happy Stitching!

How Is Your February?

My February has been pretty good in the stitching, I am still stitching on Gardens Like Quilts and stitching on the bluejay.  For the next two weeks I will be working 6 days a week again since we have another postal carrier on vacation.  Hope to show an update tonight later, we will see.
Very cold here in the 20's the past few days.  Had a dusting last night but it is gone today.
My daughter Ashli has been vomiting all day.  She woke up with a migraine this morning and has not been able to hold any food down all day.  She has had migraines for years and has medication for them but like a lot of kids forgot to take the medication last night. So How was your day? Of course I do need to add a photo : )

BBrrr It is Cold Outside!!! Been Stitching and have Past My 100 Stitch Challenge! : )

Oh I was so cold at work today! I am now in my toasty robe and stitching.  I have past my goal of the 100 stitch per day challenge!  I pulled out a WIP from Stoney Creek called Gardens Like Quilts and remembered why it was put down.  That heart gave me so much trouble!  I had to frog it 3 times!  Well I ripped and it is now complete and correct, lol.  I have put in 2605 stitches so far as of today.  In January so far I have 2246 stitches this past week!  So I passed my goal so far this month :) But with stitching also on Howling at the Moon with 100 stitches in January, I have stitched 2346 stitches this month and it has just started!  I am so happy :)  I have not done that many stitches in even 6 months, lol.  So, to meet my challenge I only need 754 stitches for my goal this month.  I am so sure I will have more than that though. Hmmm,  with this challenge is there a roll over for stitches?  Maybe add to next months, I think not :)
