Stitching and Frogging Today!

When I sat down to stitch today I decided if I wanted the frog to leave I better rip out the 158 stitches I need to take out before I could do any stitching!  Well, the frog has moved on to a warmer climate since it is pretty cold here today!  The high today was 19 degrees!!  So on Fred I will stitch later tonight.  At the moment I picked up my HAED Lavender Moon.  Still doesn't look like much even though I have put in 173 stitches.  This is my first HAED so a big change from what I am used to.  Also working on 25 ct linen and I have never used it before.  So it is slow going at the moment!  Here is a pic of Lavender Moon and my progress so far.

I started in the left hand corner and as I said there is not much to show at the moment.  I have to say at the moment I am glad I have some other easier WIPs to work on, lol.  HAEDs are new to me but I like a challange, (Grin)  This is a gift to my daughter so I will finish it! Happy Stitching everyone!

Glad you are enjoying your HAED. I have really fallen for these and am working on two at the moment. It's true you don't see much progress at first, but keep at it and you will love all the color variations that start to emerge!

I like your choice of HAED - they certainly are a challenge aren't they, i've been plugging away at mine for months though but they are worth the effort as they do stitch up really nice.. looking forward to seeing the progress on this

I love your lavender start. Progress is progress. Seems you attempt the challenging projects. I haven't done a haed yet. Enjoy it as others seem to do.

Hello! I just found your blog from the Stitching My First HAED blog. You are making nice progress. I am just getting ready to start my first HAED. OMG! I had my husband build me a scroll bar - my fabric is 3-1/2 FEET wide (18ct, Aida). I tried to stitch on the scroll -- I can't stand it! So now I'm trying Q-snaps and the fabric is all over the place. How are you stitching your HAED? Are you using a scroll? I sure would appreciate hearing from you - from one newbie to the next.
I don't have a blog but you can email me at bobbiejess@comcast.net I hope you will email and tell me how you are handling the fabric.
Your lavender beginning is beautiful!
Bobbie :)
